Billy Harvey

billyharvey.jpg

Billy Harvey is the guitar player from Bob Scheiders band. He recently decided to go it alone, actually he was going it alone until Bob snagged him for a 3 week tour 2 years ago, but anyway, he has this totally cool website. You have got to check it out. It was done by the same design house that did Bob's site. He's totally 2D. Not much else to say except, what are you waiting for, get out of here and go check out his site.

Captain Kirk

This is a little old, but I just the love the work of wefail. This is a music video of a Bob Schneider song that was done by wefail and by Bob himself. Compare the two versions, it's pretty cool, creative and I think pretty funny.

Coverville

The radio station that cover's the A's has moved from what was an oldies station to a new station that call's itself 'open source radio'. Now I know what open source is, but open source radio, what the heck is that? Well it turns out that this station plays podcasts from all over the world and it makes for some pretty eclectic music. I really like this show called coverville. It is a show dedicated to cover tunes. You can get the popcasts from the site and listen to them if you don't live in the bay area (1550 AM)

Pandora Anyone?

RJ seems to spend a lot of time surfing because he comes up with some the wackiest stuff. Anyway, he sent me a link to a new online music service that breaks down the music you like into bits using science and then tries to give you more music that you like based on the other music that uses the same bits. So the orignal project was called the Music Genome Project and the new music player based on this technology is called Pandora. It's pretty cool, but I already have a music player.
